The new Samsung Galaxy S3 looks to have received an almost official release date in the UK following reports from the Korean ZDNet blog, originally expected to be announced at this years MWC event in Barcelona last week it now seems that Samsung are adopting an Apple route to market with a unique launch event away from any trade exhibitions.
These new reports suggest a release date for the Samsung Galaxy S3 as soon as April at a dedicated Samsung-hosted Galaxy S3 launch event, the even better news is that there is to be very little time between the official announcement of the new flagship smart phone and the release of actual Samsung Galaxy S3 deals in the UK which again is very similar to the way in which Apple have released their iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S models and is sure to be used again for the launch of the new iPhone 5 later this year.

This latest news has also some from a pretty trustworthy source which is Samsung’s marketing agency; Cheil Worldwide, and does make for good business sense with the release of other rival handsets such as the new quad core toting HTC One X and top end camera of the new Sony Xperia S, Apple are obviously keeping their cards very close to their chest as usual with the official specifications of the new iPhone 5 so aside from rumours it is very hard to make a comparison.
Samsung are also likely to tie-in the London Olympic games into their commercials and advertising with so many of their previous handsets involved with the games for previous launches.
Specification wise, the new Samsung Galaxy S3 has had a number of rumoured improvements over the best-selling Galaxy S2, according to the oracle that is the blog of Boy Genius Report we can expect the Galaxy S3 to sport a 1.5GHz quad-core, Samsung Exynos processor and a 4.8 inch full 1080p HD Super AMOLED Plus touch screen display with Corning Gorilla Glass, a new edge-to-edge design and a 16:9 aspect ratio which will be ideal for watching films.
Add to this the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system only currently available on Samsung’s own Galaxy Nexus, the Sony Xperia S, HTC One X and HTC One S, a top end camera which will no doubt upgrade the 8 mega pixel units of the current top-end devices with a 12 mega pixel lens, a 2 mega pixel front facing secondary camera for video calls and the very latest TouchWiz 5.0 version User Interface all encased in a reported new ceramic design and this new smart phone sounds every bit as speedy, sleek and desirable as the current Galaxy S2 was before its initial release.
